Fundraising Laptops for Community Computer Training

At Lioness Heart Foundation, we are committed to empowering children, youth, and community members with essential computer skills that open doors to education, employment, and long-term opportunity. As the number of learners attending our training programs continues to grow, our biggest challenge is the shortage of laptops.

Currently, many students share devices during lessons, which limits learning time, slows progress, and prevents us from giving each learner the individual attention they deserve. To fully support our expanding classes—both in schools and at the community centre—we urgently need additional laptops.

This fundraising project aims to equip our computer training program with reliable laptops that will:

  • Provide every learner with hands-on computer experience.

  • Improve the quality and speed of lessons.

  • Support digital literacy in schools and rural communities.

  • Enable youths and women to gain skills needed for employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Your support in donating a laptop or contributing towards purchasing new ones will directly impact the lives of hundreds of learners. With your help, we can close the digital gap and build a future where every child and community member has access to quality technology training.

Together, we can empower the next generation through technology.

A Generous Donation of Computers!

Today we are happy to announce that we just received a generous donation of 20 computers from Husson University’s IT Department. Thanks to them, we will be able to provide the women with computers to learn a variety of skills involved with design, communication, and business management. We will be bringing the computers with us when we go to set up the classroom in the near future (more on that in the next post!).

Thank you Husson University!

Announcing our GoFundMe campaign!

We are so happy to announce that we at Lioness Heart Foundation now have a GoFundMe campaign! Every donation works towards enriching the lives of the women of Uganda and expanding their roles within their community. Through our volunteer program, we are not only providing a sense of purpose for our veteran volunteers but also teaching the women of Uganda technical skills and trades that they can turn into careers and businesses. In turn, our program will foster sisterhood, gender equality, and self-sufficiency for generations to come.
